Inn Policies

The Red Velvet Inn reserves the right to cancel or refuse service to anyone at anytime. There are no refunds on early departures.

The total amount of the reservation will be charged at the time of booking.  Please see “Cancellations” below for information on refunds in the event of a cancellation.

Sorry, no young children are allowed at the Inn. Guests must be at least 21 years of age to make a reservation.

Dogs:

Dogs are happily welcomed at the Inn. If you bring your dog, please be courteous to the other guests and immediately pick up and dispose of your dog’s poo. Poo bags and an outside trash can are provided for this.

Because it is likely that there will be other guests and/or dogs staying at the Inn, please make sure that your dog is friendly with other dogs and people. Also, dogs must be potty and/or crate trained. We want your stay to be pleasant for all two-legged and four-legged guests.

Check-in/Check-out:

Check-in time is 3 pm.  Self-check-in information will be left near the front door for guests arriving later in the day/evening.  Check-out time is noon.  Early check-ins/outs will be considered on a case-by-case basis for guests that have booked directly through our website and must be requested at least 48 hours prior to check-in.

PLEASE NOTE:  Early check-ins are not available for guests that have booked through Travelocity, Hotels.com, Expedia, Priceline, BedandBreakfast.com, etc. Due to the large commissions these websites charge, it is financially impossible to bring in the additional staff member needed to accommodate early check-ins.

Cancellations:

More than two weeks prior to check-in – no cancellation fee
Two weeks or less before check-in – 100% of full price reservation

In the event of a cancellation, if we are able to re-book the room(s), the amount paid towards the reservation will be refunded (less any credit card fees). As the Red Velvet Inn is a small property and cancellations affect us significantly, there can be no exceptions to this policy. We strongly encourage guests to purchase travel insurance, which if purchased in advance will cover accommodation losses and travel expenses due to inclement weather, illness, trip cancellation, etc.

Unregistered guests:

Unregistered guests are not allowed at the Inn without prior approval. Any guests at the Inn over and above the number stated on the reservation, without prior approval, will incur a $500 charge.

Extra Guests:

All guest rooms are double occupancy. A twin inflatable bed can be added to any of the rooms, however there is a $25 per person fee (plus tax) for three guests sharing one room. For reservations for the entire Inn, the price includes eight guests. Any guests over eight will also incur the $25 per person fee.

Reservations:

Reservations must be received at least 24 hours prior to check-in.
There is a two-night minimum for all Texas A&M home games and special event weekends.

Damages/Liability:

Guests are responsible for any property damage caused to/missing items from the guest rooms, common areas and/or their contents.

Money, jewelry or other valuables brought to the Red Velvet Inn are the guest’s sole responsibility. The Red Velvet Inn and/or management accept no liability and shall not be responsible for any loss or damage thereto and guest remain solely responsible for the safekeeping of any such items.
